Jaisalmer is named after Rawal Jaisal, a Bhati ruler [failed verification] who founded the city in 1156 AD. Jaisalmer means the Hill Fort of Jaisal. The main reason for calling Jaisalmer as the "Golden City of India" is because the yellow sandstone used throughout the architecture of both the fort and the town below, imbues both with a certain golden-yellow light.

Day 1:Pune/Mumbai to Ahmedabad
- Board early morning train to Mumbai from Pune (only if Pune to Ahmedabad train is not available else we take a direct train to Ahmedabad)
- Board a train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad by noon.
- 11.00pm:Pickup at Ahmedabad Junction(ADI)
- Board our private vehicle to Jodhpur from Ahmedabad(overnight journey)

Day 2:Jodhpur Arrival | Mehranghar fort | Local sightseeing (450 kms | 10 hours)
- Reach jodhpur early morning we will be heading to a nearby restaurant to have our breakfast
- Our hotel check in will happen as per standard time of 12.00pm
- Later we explore Mehranghar fort and Jaswant thada
- Hope over the streets of the blue city in the evening
- You can visit market too in the evening
- Dinner will be served at the hotel and rest for the day

Day 3:Jodhpur to Jaisalmer | Camp check in | Cultural Show
- Early morning leave towards Jaisalmer as we head to camp check in
- Reach Jaisalmer by afternoon lunch on the way
- Head to Sam Desert during the sunset and enroll on a camel ride from the desert
- Later enjoy the traditional cultural shows and a gala dinner at the desert camp
- Overnight in camps

Day 4:Kuldhara village | Badabagh | War Musuem
- Visit Khabha Fort ruins on the way
- Visit Kuldhara - Listen to the stories of ghost village
- Badabag – One of the most photogenic location of the trip
- Visit Jaisalmer War Museum on the way
- Later reach Jaisalmer fort by evening and stay
- You can stroll the fort market at night too.
- Overnight at Hotel in Jaisalmer

Day 5:Jaisalmer fort sightseeing | Departure to Ahmedabad
- Wakeup post breakfast load your luggage into the vehicle
- Checkout and visit the Jaisalmer fort
- You can visit some beautiful havelis and the rich architecture of Fort
- Have lunch and we give some time for shopping
- Later around 5.00pm we depart towards Ahmedabad post sunset.

Day 6:Ahmedabad Arrival | Departure to Pune/Mumbai
- Arrive in Ahmedabad early morning and catch your trains back to Pune/Mumbai
- Arrive to Pune/Mumbai by evening

- It is always the best thing to book your trip in advance at least 20 days prior to improve your possibility of getting a full seat on the train
- The seat availability of trains depends from the season to season and since few routes have specific one or two trains running on the route it might get difficult to get a confirmed seat during peak festive and tourist seasons
- Also kindly note that our agents will get in touch with you to provide alternate options for trains where you can hold a chance of a confirmed ticket which may have some monetary difference in the ticket amount which if you confirm to upgrade shall be liable to pay.
- Also, there might arise a chance that our predictability tool may fail and you may get a RAC seat once the chart is prepared. Kindly note that trekpanda won't be responsible for providing full seats in such a situation nor refunding any amount since it is a govt transport and not private.
- Premium trains like Rajdhani and Duranto have a fare of 50% on the higher side than regular trains however they provide the highest confirmation probability and you can always opt for the same.
- In case you want to cancel your train tickets in the middle of a trip to opt for flight options you need to update us 36 hours prior to providing hassle-free cancellation last minute cancellations are not practically possible every time as our agents work in fixed time slots and there are various other factors associated to it.
